a5c7b9f00b Chloe King should be dead. Any normal human being would be under the circumstances, but Chloe has just turned sixteen and has found out she isn'tnormalshe once thought she was. Chloe is Mai - a race of beings with cat-like powers: speed, agility, and claws. Being a high school student was complicated enough, but being Mai has added a new set of problems. Chloe is given the responsibility of protecting both the Mai and Human races. A secret organization wants to have her assassinated - nine times if necessary. And a simple kiss has deadly consequences; so much for falling in love. A girl with special cat-like powers is being hunted by an assassin. Sadly, a show with great potential doomed to fail due to awful attempts at acting, most notably by lead Skyler Samuels, Ki Hong Lee, Grey Damon, and the suicide-inducingly annoying Grace Phipps. I watch a lot of science fiction across the spectrum, including Vampire Diaries (good), True Blood (brill but more adult), Lost Girl (ok and getting better), Teen Wolf (didn't expect much but is brill), chuck awesome) and to be fair I didn't expect much. The pilot hinted of something good but didn't deliver what it could but I continued to watch and I'm just about to watch episode 8 and realised like other reviews that around episode 5 or 6 I was actually hooked and was interested in the characters and the outcome. I want the mum to find out but probably will never. Only a few more episode to go so I am worried like all syfy shows that it will be cancelled and the story will stop.

Worth a watch.

If you like this then try Teen Wolf.
